Our Principles DreamLand

Our Principles

The first five years of a child’s being is the most significant period of their life. The growth and development during this time are evolving rapidly; up to 50% of a child’s brain starts maturing. To aid their development to the fullest, we follow these principles:

Child-Centric Approach

At Dreamland, we let children ‘Be’ themselves. They are given the freedom to make their own decisions, discover areas of interest that appeal to them, and dwell smoothly with the learning process.

The Environment

Dreamland is a bright and magical experience. It is an environment where children can thrive in and have a sense of belongingness. Every element of the space aims to create an atmosphere where children can feel a sense of initiative, leadership, originality, and creativity.

Emergent Curriculum

Our classroom curriculum is a mixture of the children’s interests, specific learning goals, observations, and anecdotal records documented on the children’s growth to decide on projects and materials.

In-Depth Projects

What sets Dreamland apart? Our emphasis on children’s projects! The learning is led by each child and structured around projects. When students show interest in a topic, our teachers create projects to encourage that interest.

Representational Development

Our approach invites children to present their ideas and want to learn in many forms: print, art, drama, dance, music, puppetry, and so much more! This helps each child build confidence and excitement about their learning.

Collaboration

Our teachers encourage groups to work together using dialogue, comparisons, negotiations, and respect. We create a collaborative environment that helps foster growth, allows them to feel heard and respected, and encourages their sense of self-worth.
